Colchester United Football Club – Player Care Officer (Part Time) 

 
Job Description:

Colchester United Football Club are seeking a part time player care officer to support the schoolboy age groups within the academy (9s-16s).

Report to: Head of Player Care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the player care provision for the schoolboy age groups within the academy.
  • Design, facilitate and deliver workshops across the 5-player care pillars:
    • Life Skills & Personal Development
    • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
    • Induction, transition and exit
    • Mental & Emotional Wellbeing
    • Player & Parent Voice
  • Support the multi-disciplinary teams’ input to each players’ development.
  • Have a player care presence at 9s-16s training sessions and games.
  • Collate evidence of player care provision to support with youth development rules and EPPP Academy audits.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children
  • FA Safeguarding
  • Enhanced DBS check

Desirables:

  • QTLS or QTS accreditation
  • Previous experience within academy football

Person Specification:

  • Hard working.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Evening and weekend availability aligned to the schoolboys training and games programmes.


Salary: £10.42 per hour. 20 hours per week.
